Windhoek – If COVID-19 has taught the world anything, it is that life can throw the all manner of lemons at you, but you must find a way to make lemonade.
For soapie star Linda Mtoba, the vicissitudes of the past six months have motivated her to launch embark on a charity drive.
“The River” actress recently launched the Linda Mtoba Foundation, with the aim of giving power to the little voices that are often drowned out as the world focuses on survival in times of strife.
She said, "It takes a village to raise a child, I hope many children will feel our foundation is a door they can knock on. We're here to help, we're here to love and we're here to care. I care.”
Mtoba - who is also a Huggies brand ambassador – said this year had been one of the most challenging for all of humanity and that in itself should bring out the best in people by spurring them to assist wherever they could.
The Linda Mtoba Foundation will operate on the mantra of investing in change through the creation of socio-economic platforms targeted at children and youth, from basic nutritional needs right up to university/college graduation.
