Harare - South Africa’s multi award winning 22-year old hip hop star, Nasty C, is scheduled to wrap up his Ivyson tour with a show in Zimbabwe on December 21.
Ivyson tour, named after the youthful rapper’s late mother Ivy, was introduced in 2017 with the multi-award winning star touring only his home country South Africa in the past editions, marking the Zimbabwean edition his inaugural international version of the Ivyson tour.
In this year’s edition of the tour, Nasty C featured Zimbabwean rising star, 21-year old King 98, in all of his shows that took place in almost all of South Africa’s provinces, and the two are set to share the stage once again in Zimbabwe.
King 98, who is still growing his music career and yet to find a strong fan base in Africa and the world as whole, described the Ivyson tour as a great opportunity that has given him a chance to build his career, and create a strong fan base especially in South Africa.
The young Zimbabwean rapper thanked the SA star for making him a part of his tour, adding that apart from creating a strong fan base global wise, his dream was to put Zimbabwean hip hop on the global map, and getting engaged in tours like these made his dream achievable.
”The tour has exposed me to a lot of stuff. It has helped me to get a new fan base. Now, a lot of people support my music. By next year, I think I will be gigging all over South Africa because I have been to lots of places with this tour,” he said.
Nasty C has also roped in other big names like Gemini Major and Tellerman into the Ivyson tour.
The Zimbabwean Ivyson tour edition will also see top Zimbabwean rappers like Takura, Tammy Moyo and Ammara Brown sharing the stage with the South African star.
