Windhoek-Namibian Minister of Health and Social Services Kalumbi Shangula on Tuesday said that Namibia has 2 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 34, with 18 recoveries and 16 active cases.
He said this at the COVID-19 Communication Centre’ daily briefing.
Case No. 33 involves a 35-year old Namibian male with South African citizenship. He came to Namibia on Friday, 12 June.
Case No.34 involves a 39- years- old correctional facility officer who came in contact with Case No. 32.She is in the isolation ward in Walvis Bay.
Shangula said two Namibian truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 in Botswana have returned to Namibia. They are in isolation at Gobabis in a good condition and counted as Botswana cases.
