Windhoek-Namibian Minister of Health and Social Services Dr. Kalumbi Shangula announced on Tuesday morning that the country has 54 new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 539 and 514 active cases, and 25 recoveries.
All cases are Namibian nationals and are all from Walvis Bay. Thirty-five (35) females and nineteen (19) are males. The youngest is a 5 years old and the oldest one is 60 years. They are all in stable conditions.
A Namibian truck driver was tested in Botswana on his way to South Africa. He was admitted in isolation in Gobabis hospital, he was tested again and the result came out positive. He is not a Namibian case as he is already counted in Botswana.
So far Namibia has tested 11 834 samples, 831people in quarantine and 0 deaths recorded.
