Nam records 14 more COVID-19 cases

Windhoek-Namibian Minister of Health and Social Services Kalumbi Shangula on Thursday announced that the country has 14 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 90, 21 recoveries, 69 active cases and 0 deaths.

Case No. 77 is a 39 years old Namibian female from Swakopmund with contact to a known confirmed case. She was tested on Monday even though she has no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 78 is a 40 years old Namibian female from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on Sunday. She also does not have COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 79 is a 39 years old Namibian male from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. He was tested on Sunday and has no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 80 is a 25 –years old Namibian female from Walvis Bay, contact of a confirmed case .She was tested on Sunday. She presented with COVID-19 related symptoms at the time of swabbing.

Case No. 81 is a 40-years old Namibian female from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on Sunday. She has no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 82 is a 36 years old Namibian female from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on Sunday. She had no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 83 is a 42 years old Namibian male from Walvis Bay, a contact in a confirmed case. He was tested on Sunday. He presented with COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case. 84 is a 26-years old Namibian female from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on Sunday. She presented with COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 85 is a 31 years old Namibian male from Walvis Bay, tested as part of active case search .No known contact with the confirmed case yet. He was tested on Sunday. He has no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 86 is a 25 years old Namibian female from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on Sunday. She has no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 87 is a 37 years old Namibian male from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. He was tested on Sunday, as he had COVID-19 symptoms. No known contact to the confirmed case yet.

Case No. 88 is a 47 years old Namibian male from Walvis Bay, a contact of a confirmed case. He was tested on Sunday. He had no COVID-19 related symptoms.

Case No. 89 is a 56 years old male of Indian Nationality who arrived in Namibia on 17 June 2020.He has been in quarantine in Windhoek. She was tested on Sunday. She did not have COVID-19 related signs and symptoms.

Case No. 90 is a 45 years old South African female and a Namibian permanent resident, who arrived in Namibia on 17 June 2020. She has been in quarantine in Windhoek .She was tested on Sunday and did not have COVID-19 related signs and symptoms.

So far Namibia has tested 7 925 samples and 3 643 people quarantined.
