Johannesburg - Man of the moment Kgaogelo Moagi aka Master KG continues to shine after bagging five nominations in the prestigious African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
Master KG shared the good news with his fans on twitter this week.
"Wow I'm Nominated 5 Times at this year @afrimma Awards,” he tweeted.
He is up for honours in the Best Male Southern Africa, Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Artist of the Year categories.
Mater KG is enjoying his time in the sun after the runaway international success of “Jerusalema”, which peaked at number one on the Shazam Global Charts.
Even mega celebrities like Cristiano Ronaldo are doing the “Jerusalema” dance.
Other artists nominated for AFRIMMA recognition this year include Black Coffee Tshego, Yanga Chief and Cassper Nyovest (Best Male Southern Africa).
Sho Madjozi, Busiswa, Elaine, Ami Faku and Azana were nominated in the Best Female Southern Africa category.
The AFRIMAs were established by African Music Magazine in collaboration with the African Union in 2014 to celebrate creativity and cultural excellence across the continent.
