Windhoek - The first ever Katima Mulilo Annual Expo, which is aimed at creating a safe and secure environment for entrepreneurs to market and sell their products, is slated to take place at the Katima Mulilo sports youth complex next month.
The organisers of the expo, which is slated for 27 – 31 December, are saying that the aim is to promote and encourage entrepreneurship in Katima Mulilo, and Namibia.
One of the organisers, Taddeus Shithigona, this week told The Southern Times that the objective and goal of the expo is to grow the Katima Mulilo Annual Expo into one of the biggest business platforms in Namibia that empowers small medium enterprises.
“The Katima Mulilo Annual Expo was established in 2019 and it is dedicated to boosting entrepreneurship in Namibia through the embracing of creativity and innovation, particularly in Katima Mulilo.
“Katima Mulilo is one of the most promising towns in Namibia with so much potential hence the need to encourage the youth to be active in entrepreneurship activities, and be productive to make sure they earn themselves a living for themselves, by actively participating in different business initiatives,” said Shithigona.
Shithigona said the expo is open for exhibitions from small medium enterprises, corporates, and all entrepreneurs, people with different innovations and creativity, to come showcase and sell their products and services.
“The event will be braced by various artists and djs, with local talent being the priority.”
