Kasi Vibe back with a bang

Windhoek - Namibia’s most popular festival, Kasi Vibe, is set to expand after the organisers announced that they will for the first time host one of the editions outside Windhoek.

Now in its eighth edition, the organisers said they will host the Easter edition at Kuisebmund Stadium, Walvis Bay, from the 10 to 12 April.

Since its inception in 2017, it will be the first time that Kasi Vibe festival will be held outside Windhoek.

But before taking the edition to Walvis Bay, the organisers said that they will host this year’s first festival at the usual spot, Sam Nujoma Stadium, from 6 to 8 March.

Kasi Vibe is a platform that assists participants to build their brands while empowering the youths in the process.

Started in 2017, the organisers say that it is guaranteed that the festival remains devoted to the development, capacity-building, and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and shall continue making valuable contributions in the community towards the realisation of Vision 2030.

“Kasi Vibe Festival’s pivotal area includes arts, fashion and food. One of the key objectives of Kasi Vibe is to raise awareness on the importance of entrepreneurship and business. I am urging potential upcoming and established entrepreneurs to apply for stalls. If you are a barber, hairdresser, manufacturer, tailor, painter, whatever services you are offering, please apply for the stalls,” Kasi Vibe Namibia public relations officer, Salmi Shigwedha, said.

Shigwedha added that Kasi Vibe will continuously foster and promote a lifelong interest of business and entrepreneurship not only as profit generating activities but also as a means of creating multiple economic hubs and building sustainable communities.

“This year, everything gets enhanced and improved with the aim of the meeting the mandate of the festival. The festival keeps growing larger and better, it has always and will be a platform to exhibit entrepreneurship, innovation, youth empowerment, brand building and connecting different people from all walks of life,” she said.
