The Namibian President Hage Geingob has relieved Immanuel Ngatjizeko of his duties as Minister of Presidential Affairs on account of ill-health.

The decision, based on recommendation of Ngatjizeko's physician, is with immediate effect.

President Geingob praised Ngatjizeko for his contributions in different capacities.

“You have been a model cadre and an outstanding servant to the people of Namibia, and this is evident through your reputation as an admired and respected leader within the community” said Geingob in a statement.

The President wished Ngatjizeko well and thanked him for the invaluable and exemplary contribution to the SWAPO Party, the Government of Namibia and the Namibian people.
