Windhoek – Zimbabwean international cricketer Blessing Muzarabani has landed a contract with the Multan Sultans in the highly competitive Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The league is hosted in the United Arab Emirates as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 pandemic, after the tourney was postponed at the end of March when Pakistan experienced an increase in infections of the virus.
Muzarabani’s contract offer came after the player impressed in Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe last month. He also had a memorable series in the UAE a month before the Pakistan tour when Zimbabwe took on Afghanistan in the Middle Eastern country.
In the PSL, he will go up against international stars such as South Africans Imran Tahir and Rilee Rossow, and he hopes this will give him a leg up in his quest to play in the even more lucrative Indian Premier League.
Muzarambani will join the Zimbabwe national team in early July when the side regroups for the international full series against perennial nemesis Bangladesh, who tour the Southern African country next month.
Muzarabani has played five Tests, 21 One-day Internationals and 15 Twenty 20 matches for Zimbabwe.
